On Stack Exchange, we believe the core moderators should come from the community, and be elected by the community itself through popular vote. We hold regular elections to determine who these community moderators will be.

Community moderators are accorded the highest level of privilege on our community, and should themselves be exemplars of positive behavior and leaders within the community.

Our general criteria for moderators is as follows:

  • patient and fair
  • leads by example
  • shows respect for their fellow community members in their actions and words
  • open to some light but firm moderation to keep the community on track and resolve (hopefully) uncommon disputes and exceptions

Every election has three phases:

  1. Nomination
  2. Primary
  3. Election

Please participate in the moderator elections by voting, and perhaps even by nominating yourself to be a community moderator!

I've been building sites with EE since 2008 and have a great respect and admiration for the EE community. Should additional moderators be needed, I'd be proud to help out.

I enjoy keeping up with the Stack Exchange site and have been an active member since beta answering questions, participating in meta, and reviewing/flagging posts. I'm a big fan of the Stack Exchange format.

If needed, I'm happy to step up again to assist the site as a moderator... though it's probably best to have someone new step in. I'm also happy to assist as a person the new moderators can call if they have questions or get stuck on something.

I'd be happy to stay on as a moderator. Not very interested in extolling my virtues though (heh), so my interactions with folks on the site will have to speak for themselves.

Hi!

I guess it was 2009, 2010 when I started to study the ExpressionEngine. Since then, I've learned a lot and, most of the times, it was thanks to the community. So I've been answering questions here as a way to give back to this wonderful community and also to help in making better sites. Being one of the moderators is an opportunity to do even more on this matter.

I will be glad to be one of the moderators, if you, EECMS developers, want me to be.

Thanks for the opportunity.

After being a member of EE exchange for the past two years, I'd like to nominate myself for a moderator position.

Why vote for me? I have a long history with ExpressionEngine, starting from version 1.1. For the first 4 years (till version 1.6.x) I was a regular user, who gained his EE knowledge by researching ee code line-by-line. Now many of you know me as an addons developer. I enjoy spending time on stackexchange to answer, review and flag questions pertaining to both my addons as well as general EE related questions. My 5k reputation makes me the 11th highest ranking member on EE stack exchange.

I want to become a moderator in order to help and give back to our wonderful EE community.

Please feel free to ask any questions :)

This election is over.
