Each related product could have individual category relationships, right? So If I understand you correctly, you want the aggregate of all categories assigned to the related entries. You can do that with Stash: {exp:stash:set_list name="cat_accessories" parse_tags="yes"} {exp:playa:parents channel="products_accessories" field="{{embed:slug}_accessories}" ...

For EE3 you could try this plugin - https://devot-ee.com/add-ons/dt-plugin - I've not tested it but the docs suggest you should be able to get a nice date output from it. You could always just grab the segment values in your page heading, eg <h1>Archive for {segment_3}/{segment_2}</h1>

Sure, something like this: {exp:channel:category_archive channel="my_channel" style="linear"} {categories} <h3>{category_name}</h3> {exp:channel:entries channel="my_channel" category="{category_id}"} <a href="{comment_url_title_path}">{title}</a> {/exp:channel:entries} {/categories} {/...

If you want to keep php out of your template, but still be able to use php string manipulation you could use CE String to do so. http://docs.causingeffect.com/expressionengine/ce-string/index.html This will allow you to use datetime conversion without directly writing out php code as well as any other php that you might need. Its pretty powerful. I'm sure ...

This doesn't seem to be an option. https://ellislab.com/expressionengine/user-guide/add-ons/channel/category_archive.html I curled and searched that page and found zero references to "Category Group" (case insensitive search). How dynamic is that group? Can you use the show parameter and list the categories you want to show? {exp:channel:category_archive ...

Until {entry_titles} gets its own dedicated {entry_url_title} (if ever) this is a typical situation where you could use an embed for the nested category_archive tag. However, if yyy is already a relationship field, i wonder if there isn't a different approach to what you are trying to achieve.
