The most common Publish Page DB error for site where member can publish they entries is happens because spammers registered too many accounts. And Publish page just going down when it trying to load the authors list. In Safecracker you don't have author list field, so it's why this issue is not effected on SC form. But you can tested it just trying to open ...

Try using relative paths in your upload preferences.

Currently Channel Images does not support this feature. You can request the feature for the future in our support portal. If you need it now, we are available for custom work as well. Feel free to contact us on the Support Portal.

Replace the continue with return statement.

If else statements are killing! They slowdown your site because all code is executed, also the code that doesn't match the if condition. Use switchee for if else statements and your page will load much faster! Link: http://devot-ee.com/add-ons/switchee. You will be amazed! Description of the plugin: With EEs if/else advanced conditionals, each condition ...

The error suggests that you're trying to access content on another domain or sub-domain via JavaScript. Specifically from the information you have provided I think the www is the cause of the problem as this is seen as a separate subdomain and not allowed in the cross-origin policy. Make sure that you pick either findsignage.co.uk or www.findsignage.co.uk ...

Here is what you want to do. {if news_image} {exp:channel_images:images entry_id="{entry_id}" skip_cover="yes"} {!-- only opening HTML data on the first loop --} {if "{image:count}" == "1"} <div class="gal"> <h4>Gallery: Click to enlarge</h4> {/if} ...my image(s)... (appearing ...

I was also having this issue and found another way to fix it without updating; open third_party/channel_images/models/channel_images_model.php and edit line 525: Make this line $this->LOCS &= $this->session->cache['channel_images']['locations']; Look like this $this->LOCS = $this->session->cache['channel_images']['locations']; Done. Does anyone know if ...

As I know, is no EE add-ons which can completely help you to get what you want. Possible solution: Upload file using any of exist EE add-ons, make manipulation with exist option (width, height, crop etc.) Then setup on the server CRON job with batch which will run couple times per day and check if new files in upload folder exist. For new files needs to ...

A couple of things to try: Can you increase PHP's memory limit? Also - since you mentioned Safecracker - is this an older site - and are you using anything other than Channel Images for your images? I've had issues with Imgsizer and switching to CE image helps. Finally, can you either delete or turn off the entry via the db directly to get back into the ...

I paid the $50 to have EllisLabs support look into it. In 30 minutes I had the solution. Turns out when EE updated it missed adding a row to the Actions table in the DB. Channel:form was looking for this action, but didn't find it. Producing this: <script type="text/javascript" charset="utf-8" src="http://dev.uscwm.org/?ACT={AID:Channel:combo_loader}&...

In your source code it looks like you have a ie conditional endif that doesn't have an opening which may be causing some errors <table> <tbody> <tr> <td class="imagefilter"> <div class="filter"> <div class="...

Turned out the update seemed to change my S3 location; I updated them to the correct server and they started working again. Latest version of the add-on doesn't seem to have this issue anymore.

Take a look at CE Image. Can implement dynamic resizing based on request (use segment variables or GET variables for the dimension parameters on the CE Image template tag). Will save manipulated images to Amazon S3. Can be used in conjunction with Channel Images (just don't bother with the Channel Image's resizing feature and rely completely on CE Image ...

I'm not aware of any solutions on how to limit to only show current users images, however with Assets, you can just use the file input field instead of the full Assets field: <input type="file" name="assets_field_name"> If you want further control on where the file is uploaded, then just add a hidden field for the upload directory: <input type="...

OK, Here is the last email to Himanshu with DevDemon support... Hi Brian Ok I have found the problem from your side . You have not set Caching driver disable but to work with Channel Images, you must set it to the "FIle". Now I have set it to file and it working perfectly. I have set dummy Channel , Field Group and Field to test on your ...

Go to line number 215 in UPD file and change the code $UPD->update(); to $UPD->do_update(); and run update the module again. :)

You've probably already found a workaround to this, but thought I'd throw in my 2¢ for others that are trying to get models to work. Models seem to be decent to use if you're doing simple things with simple fields. For my needs, I've usually found it lacking (like the case with these grid fields, category filtering, etc.) and after my scouring of docs and ...

It turns out that multiple problems were involved. The list of steps in my original post cleared up some of them, while others were simply the result of people renaming, deleting or overwriting photos on the new site. I guess the devil is in the details.

You need to explicitly set a limit parameter higher than 30 (i.e.: limit="500"), as Channel Images defaults to 30 max (similar to how EE Channel entries defaults limit to 100): From the docs: This parameter limits the number of images on any given page. The limit will default to 30 entries if a value is not specified. If you are using pagination then ...

I had created a CI field, and the first Size/Action I created was Watermark (Image). I then added a Resize (Adaptive) action to this. Uploading an image brought up this error. I then removed the Watermark action, saved, then tried uploading again. Worked. Re-added the watermark Image (using path images/layout/mywatermark.png), saved, then tried uploading. ...

If you're just pulling the latest entry from the Project channel without any category restrictions and want to pull the latest 2 images from that latest entry, and your categories are only 1 level deep, you can try this: {exp:channel:entries channel="project" disable="pagination|member_data" limit="1" parse="inward"} {proj_img limit="2"} <div ...

If the images that do not show up are coming from tumblr, then it's because you are linking to them with http protocol (see your DevTools). Your site seems to enforce SSL, but links to images on tumblr are coming from non-SSL (http protocol). Try using them with secure protocol (https) or without (instead of http://example/url/file.gif use //example/url/...

The variables inside get_list should not be prepended with stash: - You only do that when you're getting or setting a single variable directly, but it's your parent get_list tag which is doing the getting, so you should just get the vars as: {exp:stash:get_list name="images"} {page_hero_image} {page_hero_title} {page_hero_description} {/exp:...

I figure it would be possible to do this, but you probably need to write quite a large extension to channel images to make it possible. What's your skill level?

Easy answer and fix: upgrade to Channel Images 5.4.17.

One approach is to define a custom style for the "Styles" toolbar menu in Wygwam. When the user applies the style (just a couple clicks) Wygwam applies your css class to the images as desired. The class is applied without the user needing to manually edit in source mode. The following snippet would do the trick (See the docs): {name:'Responsive Image',...

I have a solution below for you so what I have done is test 3 things 1.) If there is more than 1 image do the gallery code only displaying the div html if the gallery exists so the first time it outputs the opening div the last image in the loop outputs the closing div. 2.) If there is only 1 image I have you a space to do other code. 3.) If there aren't ...

I have actually now fixed the DevDemon Channel Images issue, and so we are going to use that, we could not find an alternative way of doing this easily. In fact, it was not an issue with Channel Images as I thought, but an issue with EE/RTE and JQuery... We were using our own JQuery version, one of the latest ones. If I removed this, and EE inserted its ...

There are a few ways to do this: In file upload preferences you can create "image manipulations", these create resized/scaled images from the original uploaded file, useful for creating thumbs. When you upload a new image EE will create whatever variations you set up. To call a variation into your template the syntax is {cf_my_image_field:my_variation_name}...
