(I'm with Vector; we're the new owners of DevDemon.) This error was related to the transfer of DevDemon assets from the old owners over to us. We're now (2017-02-15) released Channel Videos v3.2.1 with a new API key which fixes the issue: http://www.devdemon.com/expressionengine-addons/channel-videos

If you don't feel like waiting on DevDemon to make a patch you can create your own youtube API key and replace the key that is in pbf.min.js with your own key. That fixed it for me.

If you were to output your Channel Video tag loop into a Stash list, using {stash:set_list}, then you could pull a random subset out via {stash:get_list orderby="random" limit="2"}. Here are links, for more info: Stash Set List and Stash Get List. There also are lots of Stash list examples here on the EE Stack Exchange.

If you can get the total number of returned results (say, 10 videos) you could probably use one of the two add-ons below to return a random number in that range for a {if count == "3"} conditional? http://devot-ee.com/add-ons/random-between or http://devot-ee.com/add-ons/low-random Just thinking outside the box with no experience with Channel Videos.

You have some keys which are repeated multiple times, video_url and video_title. The first duplicate video_url causes the problem, because it makes Stash 'think' the row of keys is starting again, i.e. a new row. This doubles up your list.

2

The related_videos tag pair will loop through any you have selected, and for each loop you need to tell channel_videos which video you're looking for. So you could use the entry id parameter, something like: {related_videos} {exp:channel_videos:videos prefix="cv" entry_id="{related_videos:entry_id}"} <li><a href="{title_permalink='...

I figured it out. It seems like the fix for the API issue occurs entirely in the js, so my js file was not updated correctly due to a configuration variable pointing to the wrong directory.

(I'm with Vector, the people behind DevDemon) This problem is due to Vimeo changing their API which requires some changes to Channel Video's integration. We updated Channel Videos for EE3 for this API Change back in February and as of August 2nd 2017 have updated the EE2 version as well. Download and install Channel Videos 3.3 for a fix.

A fix for this will be in the next release of Channel Videos for EE3/EE4, but until that comes out you can fix it by opening services/video_service.php, finding this on line 29: public function search() And changing it to this: public function search($search = array())

DevDemon released Channel Videos 3.2 recently which addresses the YouTube API changes. See: https://twitter.com/devdemon/status/596450483788771329

I've got an answer, but it's not exactly a solution: Don't. Channel Videos maintains its own separate table in the database, with all sorts of metadata pulled from the video. From a future maintenance point of view, keeping things as a simple stored URL in a text field would be better... I've learned that less is more when it comes to DB structure. I'd ...

We have released a new version of Channel Videos: http://www.devdemon.com/expressionengine-addons/channel-videos Thanks!

Try adding '?autoplay=1' to the end of your video link URL after the video id.

When you're setting the an_event list you didn't set a stash variable called entry_id, although you're trying to use that variable for the context parameter when you're outputting with get_list. So you might want to set the variable (using a slightly different name than the default ee variable): ... {stash:title}{title}{/stash:title} {stash:e_id}{...
