Follow Justin's good advice for coupon redemption using the built-in Store functionality. See Update Cart on the Checkout Tag Docs. How would I be able to include this form and then link the 'Redeem' button to a function that I already have in my module? Then along with using the native update cart function you can run your own method when a coupon is ...

my guess would be you'll need an embed. the in the main template (within the channel:entries tag) call that embed something like this: {exp:channel:entries} {embed="_inc/_previous_three_posts" the_start_date="{entry_date}" the_entry_id="{entry_id}"} {/exp:channel:entries} Your embed would look something like this: {exp:channel:entries start_on="{embed:...

There are at least two ways to get copies of EE 3 and 4. 1) Log in to https://expressionengine.com. If you have any EE purchases from this site before, you can go to your Purchases page and download the latest 2, 3, and 4 versions of EE. 2) Clone the git repository at https://github.com/ExpressionEngine/ExpressionEngine/. There is a master-v3 and master-v4 ...

Check the date on the entry. Perhaps it has accidentally been set to the future at some point and so only just started working now. Just a thought.

You should be able to add a field for the coupon code into your existing HTML form for the checkout then just include an update cart button next to the coupon code input.

I agree with @foamcow's answer. Also, change your SFTP and MySQL passwords and look at .htaccess in case they injected some redirects.

Could it be that PHP short tags are not enabled in php.ini? Looks like <?= syntax required it until PHP version 5.4? 3 possible fixes: update php to 5.4 or better update your code to use <?php instead of <?= update your php.ini file to enable short_open_tag For my money, #1 is the best as everyone should be on 5.6 (or 7 if possible).

There are clear instructions on how to move not just the templates but the whole of the system folder above the HTML root in the EE documentation. HTH

I've done several EE 2.X upgrades to 4.X and 5.X in the last few years, and on some pretty big sites to boot. It is non-trivial, but you can totally do it. Rather the retype a bunch of info, I laid out some strategies I've used successfully in this answer: Upgrade a site from EE2 to EE5 If you have more specific questions, feel free to ask a new question ...

If you check the documentation you'll find an example that is essentially exactly what you are looking for. {paginate} {pagination_links} <ul> {first_page} <li><a href="{pagination_url}" class="page-first">First Page</a></li> {/first_page} {previous_page} <li><a href="{...

The only time I've ever seen it is when the settings in database.php were incorrect or there was a problem connecting to the database. Confirm with your host that your DB is still accessible.

The shopping Cart add-on Cartthrob can do this, and possibly the other e-commerce add-ons such as store or BrilliantRetail too (but i haven't checked). All you do on the checkout page is add a file upload field. See this docs page that shows you can do that - http://cartthrob.com/docs/tags_detail/add_to_cart_form/ Everything else you have asked to do is ...

Without a doubt the connection details are wrong in some way. Have you created the database on the database server? The installer won't do that for you, it will simply populate a database with the necessary tables. If you are using "localhost" then are the webserver and database server on the same network? (i.e. you don't have EE installed on your own ...

If you can see the CAPTCHA sometimes then you don't have a problem with permissions or the GD library. Are you logged in to the site/CP when you can't see the CAPTCHA? There is a setting to show CAPTCHAs only to users that aren't logged in.

It's important that you understand how EE parses URLs to determine what to display. Generally it goes like this: template-group/template/entry or template-group/template/category-trigger-word/category-id The way you described your setup you seem to want to show two templates from the services channel at once (cleaning and reviews). Clearly this can't be ...

The first thing to do is remove the code but you should also look to see there is anything else that has been touched. Reinstalling completely may be unnecessary but it won't do any harm. If you store any personal information of users you should also determine whether or not this has been taken and your client needs to decide whether or not to inform them ...

Using modifiers on a product is indeed the best way to sell a single event with multiple dates, as each modifier can also have its own inventory. As for adding something like staff details for ticket purchases, just add one or more "text" modifiers - this allows the purchaser to input free text for each item they add to the cart.

I'm not seeing any major issues with EE v3 running on php version 5.6.2. I'm only running a few modules and I'm doing it all locally (Mamp). In your scenario, I'd pull down the db/templates and set up a test environment (wamp/Mamp etc) and do tests for your circumstances. Bug report links are a norm these days and if you feel so strongly about it, lodge a ...

ExpressionEngine was made to be a blank slate, is a design- and content-agnostic CMS. What does this mean? Unlike WordPress and some other CMS, ExpressionEngine adapts to your design rather than the reverse. It is template-drive, not theme-driven, and your templates may contain any code you want, including JavaScript, HTML, XML, JSON, etc. It is a ...

You are using relative addressing for the tag that loads your javascript elements: in the page source you see tags that look like this: <script src="V2/js/clean-blog.min.js"></script> which will cause the browser to try and load the scripts from a URL relative to the current one the browser is at, rather than the site root. In your first ...

What are you trying to accomplish? We typically allow multiple domains to point to the same site, but then use .htaccess to redirect them to a single, canonical domain. This would prevent your issue, as well as protect you from duplicate content SEO penalties.

It sounds like you need to take a look at the Multiple Site Manager add-on from EllisLab.

Your errors are saying that files are missing so it's safe to deduce that something isn't set up correctly. I suggest redownloading the files from your Solspace account and reuploading them to your server to test your theory.

I found the answer. I was loading my own JQuery in the head and the Channel form was loading a copy too. I hadn't seen include_jquery option in the Docs before, just one for include_assets (which I thought included jquerey). So once I set include_jquery="no", everything worked!

Your index.php shouldn't be showing your Control Panel - admin.php should do that. Sounds like you've modified the index.php file incorrectly. Not sure what instructions you've followed, but I'd revert back to the original install index.php and admin.php and start here: Removing index.php. And for moving your core folder you should follow these ...

Turns out this is a known bug with 2.8.0+, affecting users with uri_protocol configuration setting set to ‘PATH_INFO’. There is a patch available here: https://support.ellislab.com/bugs/detail/20192/when-uri_protocol-is-path_info-cant-log-into-control-panel-disallowed-key-c

turns out it was an issue related to the host: media temple offers different versions of PHP and the 'fastCGI' version can cause these issues. I switched to the 'stable' version and the issue disappeared.

When you view the Channel Entries list (Content->Edit) there are a number of filters available. You can use the dropdowns to show entries from a particular channel, category, or status. There is no explicit total of entries shown but you can easily determine it from looking at the number of 'pages' there are in the listing. The list can be sorted by ...

There is nothing built into Store that I know of that would allow you to do this. You could however use something like MX Calculator or a similar add-on to calculate the total. Something along the lines of: {exp:mx_calc expression="{order_discount_val} + {order_you_save_value}" parse="inward"} Total Savings of {calc_result} {/exp:mx_calc} Notice that I ...
