CE Image is an excellent choice. Although Aaron doesn't specifically support EE4 with this add-on, I have had a client directly contact him and be told that the latest EE3 version should work with EE4. And for myself, it does. I currently have two EE4 sites that I did the upgrade work on that use CE Image with EE4 and we haven't noticed any issues or loss of ...

You will need that rule, nothing has changed with the requirement of using mod_rewrite to remove the index.php portion of your URL for your site installation. You still need to direct all non-file/directory URLs to that index.php file as well. Please review the docs: https://docs.expressionengine.com/latest/general/remove-index.php.html#1-create-an-htaccess-...

File paths are only parsed in the Category Image field, not in the Category Description field, and only if the Parse File Paths setting is set to Yes.

You need to change a little in code at line 230 in upd.gmaps of your plugin directory. 'constraint' => '255' to 'constraint' => '191' This need to change from 255 to 191 because there is INNODB utf8mb4.

There are several options, but three you might like to consider are: using categories and an add-on such as Category Construct using a dedicated menu add-on such as NavEE using Low Reorder - which is sort of a hybrid of the two above HTH

CE Image is the all time great solution for Resizing/Responsive images for EE. If you've CE Image version 3.0.1 then no need to worry about it. It will definitely work for you. There is no special version for EE4, version(3.0.1) is fully compatible with EE4. You can rock with it.

In the world of EE4 Freeform Pro will be perfect choice for creating the forms. And if you want to play with channels then Channel Form comes in the picture. All things depends on your requirement, what you actually need. Both are perfect in their scenarios.

You can set the template refresh to a really high number (e.g. 14400 minutes which is 10 days), or you can change to using a static cache - for example the one that is built in to the stash add-on. The possible advantage of keeping the EE4 cache with very high numbers is that it works, that it is easy to implement, and that you get (fairly crude) cache-...

There isn't an EE solution to this problem. When being able to set your template folder path for each MSM site went away, there was growing pains for all. But at the end of the day, if you have a good setup for your application, it is most easily solved at the deployment/devops layer of your setup. The easiest way to handle this is to setup symlinks. For ...

EE now defaults to using InnoDB type tables in MySQL. The docs have instructions on how one can convert MyISAM tables to InnoDB (here). Whether it makes any difference on an average site is moot, and there should be no issues if you run a site with a mixture of MyISAM and InnoDB tables. HTH.

Yeah, you can save relationship data using below Model query. In below code $entry->field_id_2 indicates the relationship data. $entry = ee('Model')->make('ChannelEntry'); $entry->channel_id = 'your_channel_id'; $entry->site_id = ee()->config->item('site_id'); $entry->author_id = ee()->session->userdata('member_id'); $entry->...

I too had the same issue, the EE documentation to put it nicely is rather incomplete on this topic. Looking though the source I saw an example in ft.relationships.php: ee('Model')->get('ChannelEntry', $entry_id) ->with('Children', 'Channel') ->fields('Channel.channel_title', 'Children.entry_id', 'Children....

Short answer is no. Long answer is also no. Whether anyone will come up with an add-on to do this I'm not sure, but without such your options are really limited: especially when you factor in things like fluid, grid or relationship fields the duplication process becomes really complicated. For some very simple cases you can duplicate fields by direct ...

Is this a rehearsed upgrade or your first time? EE should be creating that column when running the upgrade script for 4.3.0. Rehearse the upgrade on a separate instance of your application. Also verify that that column exists, and that it is being created properly by the installer script here: /system/ee/installer/updates/ud_4_03_00.php:238 My guess is ...

This will be very time-consuming if you proceed. Since most of the third party add-ons for EE1 are either out of development with no updated version or hard to obtain, you either own those old add-ons yourself and upgrade them yourself (so lots of development time), or you refactor your installation to not use them (lots of development time). Basically, ...

okay it seems you are into this too. if you want to spend 200$ use https://boldminded.com/add-ons/publisher-2 if not; here is the tips for an easy way to do it. lets say that you have two languages English - en Arabic - ar first duplicate your fields in your channels and make sure that you suffix the field name with the short-code of your language Like: {...

Freeform Pro is a solid choice, and has good support. Depends what you are after - you can do alot with the built in Channel Form function. Also you would do well to be familiar with the marvellous Snaptcha - really effective spam avoidance.

Bought CE Image (for EE3) and it works perfectly with EE4, following the tutorial at https://www.aaron-gustafson.com/notebook/adaptive-images-in-expressionengine-with-ce-image/. To quote the important part of that page, use this code, replacing {embed:image} with your image URL: <img class="page__image-header__photo" alt="" {exp:ce_img:pair src="{embed:...

You can also use Channel Images from Ee harbor I think (before it was Devdemon )

You can find an outline of what is needed in the answer to a similar question asked a few months ago. expression engine upgrade from 2 to 3 to 4 HTH.

I was having this issue on EE3. For anyone else having the issue, I changed the Email Library setting in Forms from PHP Mailer to EE Internal and that bypasses the issue

1

I think this might be a misunderstanding: DevDemon lists 4 as supported Unfortunately Forms is only compatible with EE2 and EE3 at this time: http://www.devdemon.com/expressionengine-addons/forms REQUIREMENTS ExpressionEngine 2.3.1+ or ExpressionEngine 3 We hope to update it for EE4 soon!

You can't. Sorry. It was a bit of an annoyance all around when I started upgrading clients from EE2 to EE3. There is no config override for the addons (aka third_party) and no way to set the template folder path for sites. Do you want to hack it? Well... DO NOT DO THIS In /system/ee/legacy/libraries/Core.php EE 3.5.16: Line 76 and 78 EE 4.3.0: Line 63 ...

Use the native {is_ajax_request} variable.

Channel Images is not made to select pre uploaded images. Basically it does not even have any proper destination to store images. When you create an entry, EE generates Entry ID for that entry and channel images creates new directory for that entry to store those images. Thus it is not possible to just select photos. You can't even use Assets as an ...

Seems like you've set this as a setting in structure. it says something like redirect to structure after save. Might also be that your admin page is still defined as admin.php in either your renamed admin.php or the config.php or the config settings in the cp
