Rich Text Editor (RTE) is a FieldType built into ExpressionEngine.
This module once enabled allows the Rich Text Editing FieldType to be used both in the Control Panel and on the Front-end via SafeCracker. The FieldType adds a great many features over a standard HTML Textarea. This includes the ability to embed images and links, insert ordered and unordered lists, style text with bold, italic and underlining.
